Privacy Policy

Effective date: February 22, 2026

Wesley Santana ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our") built the Flikard app as a commercial application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

Flikard does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data you create — collections, flashcards, and images — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

Specifically:

2. Photo Library Access

Flikard requests access to your Photo Library so you can select images for your flashcards and for AI-powered card creation. Photos you select are copied into the app's private storage on your device. We do not upload, share, or transmit your photos in any way.

You can revoke photo access at any time in Settings → Flikard → Photos.

3. On-Device AI Processing

Flikard uses Apple's Vision framework to analyze images locally on your device for automatic card pairing (FeaturePrint similarity and OCR text recognition). This processing happens entirely on-device — no images or analysis results are sent to any server.

4. Data Sharing (.flikard Files)

You can export collections or individual cards as .flikard files and share them using AirDrop, Messages, Files, or other iOS sharing methods. When you choose to share a file, it is transmitted directly through the sharing channel you select. We have no access to shared files and do not intercept or store them.

Important: Shared .flikard files may contain the text and images from your flashcards. Only share files that contain content you are comfortable distributing.

5. Data Storage & Security

All your data is stored in the app's sandboxed container on your device, protected by iOS's built-in security (hardware encryption, app sandboxing, and Data Protection). We do not have access to your data.

If you delete the app, all data stored by Flikard is permanently removed from your device.

6. Children's Privacy

Flikard does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the app collects no personal data at all, it is safe for users of all ages. Parents and guardians are encouraged to monitor their children's app usage.

7. Third-Party Services

Flikard does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs. The app is entirely self-contained with no external dependencies beyond Apple's own frameworks.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically for any changes.
